Your unwanted stuff can make the world a better place.

Last fall I rolled out a list of Indianapolis nonprofits that are seeking pre-owned items – housewares, clothing, furniture, etc. After updating the list recently, I’m more convinced than ever that the belongings we no longer need or use can do good in the world, finding new life with people who need those things! Here are a few examples of the latest additions:

·      Have a stash of vases collecting dust? Donate to Random Acts of Flowers, where they improve the emotional health and well-being of individuals in healthcare facilities by delivering recycled flowers, encouragement, and personal moments of kindness.

·      Kids outgrown their stuffed animals? Donate them to Stuffed Animals for Emergencies (SAFE), dedicated to providing comfort to children in traumatic or emergency situations.

·      How about those bras? Donate them to Free the Girls, working to provide a sustainable path out of poverty for women who have been exploited through sex trafficking.

Check out the updated list; let’s help change the world together.
