Indy’s EBTH Dream Team
Last week Trevor from Supreme Shipping returned to Indy to pick up the remaining items from the home we emptied in April and deliver them to Everything But the House, the online auction house headquartered in Cincinnati. A delay enabled a new client to add three antiques to the lot; they were thrilled to get the pieces out of their garage, and glad at the sale potential to the global audience that EBTH attracts. Over one million viewers visit EBTH every month, and 90,000 of them check listings every day! This weekend items from the big April project will be featured in a single-seller sale on EBTH, with over 240 items/groupings for sale. At auction typically 10% of items will exceed expectations, 10% will fall short, but the true market value of most items is what someone will pay on the open market. It’s always exciting to watch what happens!
Trevor and I have worked together several times now. He’ll be swinging through Indy for Spirit & Space customers with some regularity in the future, as more and more clients are ready to relinquish collectibles and household items of value. (Trevor is also available for private shipping; I highly recommend him!) I’ll also drive goods to Cinci as needed. What’s the alternative? Some choose to donate locally, supporting worthy nonprofits. You may reap great rewards if you choose to post items on social media or eBay. However, many clients are pleased to have Spirit & Space help them understand the value of their belongings and (as appropriate) find the best option for selling. I’m grateful to be able to offer this option for clients.
