I Have A Confession to Make
I have clutter too.
There are several spaces in our home that are prone to collecting clutter over time. The big one this week was my workshop on the lower level of our home, where I process jewelry, coins and silver to sell for clients. Besides work and storage space, I need to keep a supply of boxes and packing materials as well as an assortment of tools. And since I’m often working with multiple lots at once (or have several lots in the wings), I need to keep them all straight!
After shipping coins and completing work on the third jewelry lot in as many weeks, I finally carved out time to reset the space – straightened, used storage more effectively, ordered the packing materials, took out the trash and recycling. What a difference it makes when I take time to restore order! (This morning I peeked in just to get a quick dopamine hit.)
Another space that collects clutter over time is “my” drawer in our living room, which was also on the list this week. Some books needed to go elsewhere, and some were donated along with a game we never played. I got rid of a metal bookmark I never used and sticky prayer beads (how did they get like that?). I even found organizing magazines I haven’t looked at in a couple of years.
Trust me when I say I GET IT!
Do yourself a favor and take a little time this week to restore order in a space that’s gotten away from you, You’ll be glad you did. Then tell me about it; I love to hear about your wins!
